The interior has a Romanesque feel with concrete vaulting above a Purbeck marble floor and arches picked out with close tiling echoing Roman tiling in the west churchyard wall. Bronze heating grilles in the floor also mirror this pattern. The 80-seater restaurant has views over the courtyard. The Refectory is managed by Prestige Experience, a leading caterer in the field of museums and visitor attractions. We are committed to providing food of a consistently high standard. Whenever possible we prepare, cook and bake most of the food we serve in the kitchen on site, using the best quality raw ingredients. The menu on offer in The Refectory is eclectic, delicious and healthy. It consists of freshly prepared soups, served with a diverse range of bread. A choice of made-to-order hot dishes including pasta, stir fries and noodles and a main course of a more traditional nature. There is a choice of innovative main course salads, and tempting puddings. The all day menu comprises sandwiches and filled breads, delicious home-made cakes, freshly baked morning pastries and afternoon tea. There is good quality coffee and teas, a varied range of soft drinks and a short wine and beer list. The Refectory also provides all the catering for the Cathedral's conference facilities and provides private dining, parties etc.
