New Sub-Dean of Southwark Cathedral installed

On Sunday 22 January, at the end of the 11am Choral Eucharist the Revd Canon Bruce Saunders was installed as Sub-Dean of Southwark Cathedral, by the new Dean of Southwark, the Very Revd Andrew Nunn. He will remain as also Canon Pastor and Minister-in-Charge of St Hugh's, Bermondsey. Bruce Saunders took his oaths and was formally appointed as Sub-Dean by the Bishop of Southwark, the Rt Revd Christopher Chessun, just before the service to install the Revd Canon Andrew Nunn as Dean of Southwark the day before.
Following the service the Revd Canon Bruce Saunders said, 'I am delighted to be asked to serve the Cathedral in this new role and look forward to working with the Dean and other members of the Chapter in helping to shape the Cathedral's future mission and ministry'.
The Very Revd Andrew Nunn, said, 'Bruce Saunders has been a Canon of Southwark Cathedral, first as Missioner and now as Canon Pastor, for 15 years and he will bring his wealth of experience and knowledge of the life of the Cathedral to his new role.'
