Helen Sharp, Simon Taylor and Adam Clark (pictured left to right) from Christ Church and St Paul's Forest Hill are taking part in a 3 Peaks Challenge on 21/22 July. They are walking for schools, orphanages and a street kids project in Manicaland, Zimbabwe. Their objective is to climb the 3 highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales - Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon - in 24 hours (or thereabouts!).

Adam said "I have heard much about the situation of the schools and orphanages in Manicaland and when the opportunity came along to face the 'Challenge', it seemed to me to be a great opportunity to raise money for a good cause, as well as giving me a huge physical test." Manicaland is linked to the Woolwich area of Southwark Diocese.

The Challenge starts with all 4000 feet of Ben Nevis, in the late afternoon; then a drive through the night to the Lake District to climb Scafell Pike; then a drive down the M6 and through N Wales to climb Snowdon. The total distance walking distance is 28 miles.

Adam would be pleased to accept your sponsorship pledges or answer questions. He can be contacted at adamclark@onetel.net.uk or on 020-7271 3440.
