Education Centre is Ten!

The Education Centre at Southwark Cathedral, which moved into a new space within the Cathedral complex late last year and specialises in curriculum based work tailored to the level and needs of the study being undertaken by every single class, is ten years old. To celebrate its birthday a Service of Thanksgiving is to be held in Southwark Cathedral on Tuesday 16 May 10.30 am.

Children, funders, guests and local dignitaries will join together to thank God for all that has been achieved and to look forward to all that will happen in the future.

Following the service there will be a Reception for all those involved in the work of the Centre at which Lord Ron Dearing, who was Chair of the 1997 Governmental review of the Future of Higher Education, will speak. Barbara Lane, the Director of the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education and the Chair of the Education Centre Trustees will host the Reception and the Dean of Southwark, the Very Rev. Colin Slee will also speak.
