Bishop's Train Journey

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 3 April 1998

Just a reminder that the Bishop of Woolwich, the Rt Rev. Colin Buchanan, will be travelling round his Episcopal Area by train tomorrow, Saturday 4 April. Why not come and meet him?

"If the nearest station or time does not suit, come to another station at a different time. Come as a group, or as an individual. If possible, wear a badge - or carry a banner - to say from which congregation you come, and introduce yourself."

"I shall try to travel in the second or third coach on each train, and, when I get off, I shall go straight to the meeting place. Obviously, all meetings will be limited by the tight timetable - but, for me, it will give a great opportunity to learn more of the parishes and people of the Area. Do bring your friends and if by any chance trains get disrupted during the day, I will ensure that a message gets through to people waiting at stations," said Bishop Colin.
