Mayor of London's Offices - South London Bishop welcomes the decision

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 26 February 1999

I am delighted to learn that the office of the new Mayor of London is to be sited south of the Thames. This will emphasise the fact that the south of London is very much part of the regeneration of the whole of London which we hope to see in the new millennium.

The Diocese of Southwark, together with the Diocese of London, will wish to play its full part, in partnership with the new Mayor and the Regional Office, in building and strengthening community life.
