SOUTHWARK CATHEDRAL'S AWARD-WINNING GIRL CHORISTERS 16 October 2002
Naomi Costigan from New Cross and Lavinya Royes who lives in SE1 are the new Launderer Chanters, and also Head Choristers. They will now wear badges on blue ribbons. The Lithgow Chanters, known as Cantoris corner girls, who will have purple ribbons, are Vienna Francis-Mullins and Jessica Bevan, both from SE22. The Bridge Chanters, known as Decani corner girls, with red ribbons, are Jessica Dace from New Cross and Jaunita Morton from Kennington. These badges have been endowed by the Worshipful Company of Launderers, the Lithgow family and the Millennium Bridge Trustees. The Girls Choir was formed as part of the Cathedral's Millennium celebrations.
