The Rt Rev Dr Tom Butler, The Bishop of Southwark and the Very Rev Colin Slee, Dean of Southwark, will install and collate five new Honorary Canons at Southwark Cathedral at Evensong on Sunday 28 October.

They are:
Giles Goddard (who will be installed into the John Gower Stall)
Hilary Johnson (John Harvard Stall)
Geoff Mason (William Shakespeare Stall)
Bill Musk (Edward Alleyn Stall)
Christopher Wheaton (Peter des Roches Stall)

At the same service the Bishop and Dean will license and install the Rev. Anna Macham as the Succentor of Southwark Cathedral she will also licensed as Chaplain of Guy’s Campus, King’s College London.

An Honorary Canonry is an honour conferred by the Diocesan Bishop as an expression of appreciation of service to the Diocese. The new Canons, who are each allocated a stall in the Choir Stalls, will assist in the governance of the Cathedral in an advisory capacity and promote it in the wider Diocese. Each Canon is invited to celebrate the Eucharist in the Cathedral on the day allocated to their particular stall.
