Introduction to parish

Barnes is an affluent area with very high house prices. Most residents work in the City or the media, but there are pockets of poverty and currently many refugee families in temporary housing. St Mary's is the historic parish church, dating from 1215, serving the local community with St Michael's and Holy Trinity, the other churches of Barnes Team Ministry.

We are a welcoming congregation, committed to joyful worship, with a lively ministry to young families. Many young parents have stressful lives at work and home. Part of our mission is to be a place of rest, encouragement and spiritual growth.
