Introduction to parish

Set in a quiet Barnes street adjoining the Thames, Barbara Pym's much loved Anglo-Catholic jewel has been undergoing a renaissance in recent years.

Still catholic in liturgy (but firmly Affirming!) St. Michael and All Angels attracts two lively congregations on Sunday mornings: those who want good music, rich liturgy and challenging sermons at 10 a.m., and those look for something simpler at 11.30.

This red brick Victorian basilica, emerging from decades of grime courtesy of a major restoration programme, will soon boast a new Community Centre, ready to house our many activities based in the church and surrounding community.
