The Church dates from the 15th Century and was originally designed in the Perpendicular style with chancel and nave. A later south porch was added and during the Victorian period two periods of extension and restoration were carried out.

The first of these, in 1866, by Larmer, saw the construction of a stone tower to replace the original timber belfry. This work was replaced by the further extension and rebuilding carried out by F C Lees in 1890 during which the church was extended to the west and the stone tower was replaced by the present bellcote. The materials and details used for the last phase of works contrasts strongly with the original Reigate stone detailing of the earlier phases of work.

Accommodation comprises chancel and sanctuary, nave, south porch, west gallery and western lean-to porch together with a vestry on the south side.
