Introduction to parish

A warm and friendly welcome awaits all visitors to St James church. Liberal catholic traditions are maintained with the mass being said daily; the Thursday morning mass being very popular as it also offers a chance to socialise later over coffee, which is served in the hall. Worship for the Sunday Eucharist is enhanced by the choir, altar servers and intercessions led by lay people. Features of the building are the triptych of murals of the resurrection by Hans Feibusch in the sanctuary and stained glass windows depicting the sacraments in the west window. The Family Service on the first Sunday of the month specifically caters for young families. The chapel is usually open during the day for private prayer and offers a sanctuary from the busy world outside.

At the present time various fund raising events are being held to raise money to upgrade facilities in the hall, which is available for hire.
