Introduction to parish
"St Stephen's
stands in the modern Catholic tradition.
The Eucharist is at the centre of our worship and life together.
On Sundays we come together to receive Holy Communion, to hear
God's word and to gain strength and support from one another, so
that we can go back into the world ready to live our lives more
openly and lovingly, sharing our faith in word and action,
serving God and our neighbours in this part of South London.
St. Stephen's tries to be a friendly, warm and inclusive church,
welcoming all people regardless of age, relationship status,
ethnic background or sexual orientation, and regardless of how
much or how little faith people have when they join us.
Enquirers and those with questions and doubts are positively
welcome!
There are regular activities for children ('Kids Alive') and
teenagers ('Youth Alive) which meet during the 10am service. A
crèche is also available for the under threes.
On the first Sunday of the month the whole church family
worships together, sometimes for a Eucharist, sometimes for a
less formal service. The children and teenagers are regularly
involved in these services."
