Details of Church

After more than a hundred years' presence in the local community as part of the Charterhouse-in-Southwark Mission, the building on the corner of Crosby Row and Porlock St was demolished in the summer of 2011 to make way for affordable and private housing. On the ground floor there will be a new church, for St Hugh's to continue its long tradition of worship and community service.

From the beginning of July 2011 it was 'business-as-usual' for St Hugh's, who will worship at St George the Martyr in Borough High Street at 9.30am on Sundays while the new building takes shape.
