Introduction to parish

The parish straddles the top end of the Old Kent Road, and includes large parts of the Aylesbury Estate. It is an area of high population density and vibrant cultural diversity. The parish originated as the Pembroke College (Cambridge) Mission, and still maintain strong links with Pembroke College which express themselves in terms of educational and community development work. A full-time youth project runs from our building, as well as work with schools, pensioners and asylum seekers. The church is the eucharistic community which is the heart of this work, and it reflects the culturally rich environment of the parish.
