Battersea
The church was severely damaged in the Second World War and a replacement church was built on the same site. Description "The original church, which was consecrated on 27 July 1849, was a cruciform Middle-Pointed building with a spire, designed by C Lee and T T Bury. It was demolished by a rocket in 1944, and has been completely cleared away." (from 'Parish Churches of London', Basil F L Clarke, Batsford, 1966) |
