The church was badly damaged by bombing in the Second World War and a new church was constructed on the site.

Description

"One of the churches that was built with the help of Richard Foster. the architect was W O Milne, and the foundation stone was laid on 3 May 1884, by the Rev F H Murray, one of the original proprietors of Hymns Ancient and Modern, and rector of Chislehurst for 50 years.

This rather ordinary red-brick church was badly bombed.  The remains were eventually cleared away, and a new church was built on the site."
