Wandsworth Deanery covers a third of the Borough of Wandsworth. The OXLIP index has designated five parishes in the Deanery as UPAs, because of the pockets of deprivation on large local authority estates in those parishes. Several of these contain a wide social mix and are areas of rapid population change, which require considerable re-adjustment. There continue to be signs of growth and renewed vitality and increasing ecumenical co-operation in many parishes in the Deanery.
