Our properties

Typically we have built on church land which was surplus to requirements. More recently, we have sometimes been able to buy land cheaply from local councils on condition that it will be redeveloped for affordable housing.

We have ensured that all our homes are up to the "decent homes" standard, and all our new building satisfies very good "eco-homes" standards.

Because we are a charity, we need only to cover our costs, so we can hold rents down to affordable levels. Our rents are in fact tightly regulated by government, and are set in accordance with local standards for comparable social housing. However, we still have to be business-like, and cannot tolerate continuing rent arrears.
