Consider the Blackbird: Reflections on Spirituality and Language,

by Harvey Gillman (published by Quakerbooks, 2007).
A book examining the use of language and its impact on spirituality takes the reader on a journey through language using poetry, philosophy and insights from different religions. Harvey argues that the way we use language – the way we speak, the way we search for meaning and the way we declare our truths – is often at the root of political and spiritual dis-ease in the world. We need to understand this if our calls to action and plans to change the world are to have their fullest impact.
