This course is not merely concerned with films with Christian themes
(e.g. The Passion of the Christ). Our concern will be the
critical theological interpretation of a wide range of films, from
Schindler’s List to Leaving Las Vegas to The Matrix
to Wings of Desire. The intention is to approach film as a key,
democratic and contemporary cultural medium for the communication and
formation of values and ideas.
