Steph Blackwell
Grants and Community Fundraising Manager

Steph Blackwell works in all 124 Urban Priority Areas (UPAs) of the diocese and is able to offer consultancy and training on fundraising for community/social action projects in the following areas:

  • Fundraising from trusts
  • Corporate fundraising
  • Strategic planning for fundraising
  • Employing fund-raisers

NB Steph only works in Urban Priority Areas.

Wendy S Robins
Director of the Communications and Resources Department

In addition to her work for this Department, Wendy has experience in both adult education and training and publishing, having previously worked for the Bible Society and USPG. She has worked with the World Council of Churches as a consultant on a number of Bible Study and women's projects and is happy to run workshops on these if requested.

Rev Nigel Stone
Training Officer in the Kingston Area Mission Team

Nigel is available to the deaneries, parishes and individuals of the Area (for daytime, evening and weekend sessions, workshops and presentations) to:

  • offer direct training and/or consultancy himself
  • suggest other appropriate trainers to meet particular needs
  • advise on resources for parishes etc to undertake their own training

His particular areas of interest and experience are:

  • urban issues
  • group work
  • gospel and culture
  • planning and organising conferences and parish weekends
  • collaborative ministry
  • interpreting scripture
  • welcome and nurture of new Christians.

Nigel is also responsible for the Continuing Ministerial Education (CME) of Readers in the Diocese. He therefore contributes to the annual Reader re-licensing events, organises Reader Funeral Courses, and occasional study and training events.
